  1. It’s funny that someone who crosses or path for but a moment (when you consider almost any kind of “big picture”), can touch us in such a way that our joy is so closely tied to theirs. We don’t see it as often, but it goes both ways. Just this past week, one of my former students who works with Northrup Grumman now sought me out to help me apply for a grant through his company, and I know that he would be ecstatic if I got it. Likewise, I get pleasure listening to you brag about your “other” students too, although I keep expecting a talking mouse to pop up on the side of the video screen!
